JCC Professional to Participate in NFL Youth Football Summit at Pro Football Hall of Fame Induction Weekend

NEW YORK, NY, June 27, 2006 –Brad Rempel, sports & recreation director at the Sabes JCC in St. Louis Park, Minnesota has been selected to participate in the 2006 National Football League Youth Football Summit.
The summit will take place in Canton, Ohio during the Pro Football Hall of Fame Induction Weekend, August 2-5, 2006.

JCC Association, the NFL Youth Football Fund, and NFL Players Association have shared a long standing relationship since 1998. As one of the NFL’s eight National Youth Football partners, JCC Association has been invited to nominate one participant for the summit - a three-day educational and interactive conference for the leaders in youth and high school football.

Rempel was selected as the JCC Association representative coach from a number of qualified applicants from JCCs across North America. He has a B.S. in physical education and a minor in athletic coaching from the University of North Dakota. Rempel has been working in youth sports for over nine years and has overseen the JCC’s youth football program for the past seven.

“My goal is having fun and getting the kids involved during the game. I organize our program as an introductory level program helping the kids understand basic rules so they are more aware of how to play football. I hope that they will show enough interest to possibly want to play for their junior high or high school team in the future,” Rempel said.

The 150 youth and high school football coaches and administrators attending the summit will have an opportunity to participate in several educational seminars and roundtable discussions chaired by former NFL players and coaches, youth medical experts and motivational speakers . All summit participants will attend a private reception at the Pro Football Hall of Fame on Thursday evening while also enjoying a private celebratory dinner at the beautiful Glenmoor Country Club on Friday evening.
