JCC and Community Services

The community services department provides services to JCC executives and boards through its staff of community consultants. From board and staff training to consultations in a number of critical management areas, JCC Association community consultants make hundreds of community visits during the year.

JCC Association community consultants are involved in the following:

• All day strategic planning retreats
• Board workshops to train leadership and explore governance models
• Consultations on membership recruitment and retention
• Meetings to assist lay and professional leadership in facility planning and construction
• Explorations with staff on emerging trends in the field and how these trends impact their JCCs

In addition, JCC Association community consultants provide executive-director search services. The search for a new executive is a critical period in the life of a JCC. JCC Association community consultants help the searching JCC to set new directions, involve key leadership, and strengthen the JCC’s sense of purpose. The experienced JCC Association staff can be profoundly helpful to JCCs in selecting, hiring, and orienting a new executive director.
