Eligible Camp Directors: Please submit application no later than 12:00 pm, Friday, December 21st. Upon completion of your application, an interview will also be scheduled Candidates will be notified in early March 2013

  • Professional Development, Leadership and Jewish Educational Experiences

  • Examples include formal Jewish education, attendance or work at other Jewish camps, youth groups, retreats, Hillel, service-learning experiences, trips to Israel or Jewish communities abroad. Please note that this is for intake purposes only; one does not need a Jewish educational background to be a candidate for the fellowship.
  • Document Attatchments

  • Questions should be no more than 200 words each:
    1. Among other things in your role as a camp director, you work with a board, recruit campers and staff, oversee the health safety of campers and inspire the camp community. What role do you play in the Jewish educational experiences that take place at your camp?

    2. Were you able to add or change two or three elements of your camp to improve the camp as a Jewish institution, what would they be and why would you choose them over others?

    3. Please describe an experience or time in your current position when you faced a dilemma. How was it resolved?

    4. Which values or ethics (explicitly Jewish or not) are most important to you? How have they evidenced themselves at your camp?
