What Did Queen Esther Know About Leadership?

Join us to hear author Connie Glaser on Monday, March 12

In her sixth book, WHAT QUEEN ESTHER KNEW: LEADERSHIP STRATEGIES FROM AN ANCIENT SAGE, best-selling author and consultant Connie Glaser shows us that smart, savvy, and courageous Queen Esther transformed herself from an orphan girl in exile to the most powerful woman in the Persian empire. How did she do it? By being a brilliant strategist, a persuasive speaker, and a courageous risk-taker, yet all the time remaining true to her principles and ethics. The themes of the book - leadership, credibility, and integrity - resonate today as powerfully as they did in ancient times. Based on the critically-acclaimed book, this program provides the "Best leadership advice in 2000 years!" Connie’s books have been translated into over a dozen languages and are among the most widely-read and influential books on workplace diversity and women’s leadership. Recognized for having her finger on the pulse of today’s workplace, Connie serves as chair of the Travel Advisory Council for Inter- Continental Hotels. She also serves on the Women's Advisory Board for Office Depot, and the Advisory Board for Emory University Graduate Women in Business. Connie’s syndicated column, Winning at Work, appears in the Atlanta BusinessChronicle and leading business journals around the country. She also is a nationally-featured columnist with bizwomen.com. Connie was recently acknowledged for her achievements by being named Businesswoman of the Year by Office Depot. She has also been honored by being named to The World Who's Who of Women.

Talking to Different Generations in Different Ways

Join us with keynote speaker Chuck Underwood Tuesday, March 13

We have no choice. We must understand the influence of different generations on the marketplace and workplace, because those influences are powerful and permanent. Those of us who learn the values and motivations and attitudes of each generation will fare much better than those who don’t. Find out the differences between the five living generations: G. I. GENERATION (born 1901-1926), SILENTS (born 1927- 1945), BOOMERS (born 1946-1964), GEN X (born 1965-1981), MILLENNIALS (born: 1982-present) from our keynote speaker Chuck Underwood, founder and president of The Generational Imperative, Inc. Having studied and researched the generational values and beliefs that guide the decision-making of Americans for two decades, he is a leading authority on generational dynamics in both the marketplace and workplace. Chuck began his generational research in the late 1980s, long before such information attracted the widespread attention of business leaders. In 1999, in order to conduct research studies for his clients and his own company, he underwent formal training in qualitative research methodology and focus-group moderating. His research clients now include such giants as Procter & Gamble, Eli Lilly, Coca-Cola, Western-Southern Insurance, Group Voyagers Travel, and others.
